Discover the Benefits of Tai Chi at Monday Club

Tai Chi Balmain Class Alison Monday Club (1)
Members have asked if we could stage Tai Chi. The answer is yes. Commencing on Thursday 22nd October at 3 pm, Alison will lead a 45-minute session in our upstairs studio.

Why is Tai Chi good for you? People have been practicing Tai Chi for almost 5,000 years, with wonderful health benefits like:

  • Improved flexibility and balance to help prevent falling
  • Relieves pain in your joints, back and neck
  • Reduces stress and anxiety while promoting peace and calmness
  • Lowers blood pressure and promotes a heathy heart
  • Strengthens core, legs and upper body and improves coordination

With its slow, flowing movements and relaxed pace, Tai Chi provides an opportunity to slow down, focus on the present moment and enjoy movement without pressure.

Meet Alison – Your Tai Chi Teacher

I’m Alison, and I’ve practised and taught Tai Chi for over 13 years, specialising in Chen-style Tai Chi, including traditional forms, sword, staff, push hands and silk-reeling.

With over 30 years’ experience in holistic health and body therapies, I’m passionate about the connection between movement, mindfulness and wellbeing.

My teaching is clear, patient and supportive, helping everyone learn at their own pace. I believe Tai Chi offers much more than physical exercise—it can help develop balance, body awareness, relaxation and confidence.

Whether you’re new to Tai Chi or returning to it, I’d love to share this rewarding practice with you.
